These advertisements are displayed on unrelated webpages as a result of previously searched terms. Melanie Clemmons searched and visited many websites based on Asian and Russian women. Once she had searched and visited these pages, she began to see these ads on unrelated webpages. The curator is interested in taking control away from these tracking cookie companies, and this collection is one of her first attempts to manipulate the system."
